We were inside watching Ghost In The Shell and I came back to find that Jim had fitted the two beautiful Rohan helms I got for yule (I'd tell you what else I got, but then you would know how spoiled I am...) on some... well....

I am almost used to seeing LoTR hamsters since Jommy's beautiful guys started showing up. And I think an Arctic Fox would make a very good companion for Theoden King.

Someone took the Brown Acid...

ok, I waited all my life and now I intend to own whatever LoTR merchandise I ache for without regret or apology. I have both the beautiful and the unbearably tacky, caring only that the item moves me... and, I am blessed to be married to the man who says - "Hey! We don't have *this* yet" and not "You bought what??"

And last year Chris actually gave me LoTR Valentines, so the fact that they exist this year does not surprise me.

But who thought putting Denethor on a Valentine was a good idea?

fiction evaluation (in lieu of resoultions)

from danachan</strong></em>

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?

Since I had never written any, I can safely answer this with More since I now have two pages of entries at HASA, which does not include most of my drabbling with you guys (yet)...

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2003?</em>

I only write LoTR/gen - but they all surprised me. Writing for Faramir surprised me the least, since he has been speaking to me most of my life. Writing love poetry in Denethor's voice was unexpected. Writing first person heroic in the mind of a first age orc approaching Gondolin was another...

What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest.

Most emotionally satisfying:The three part Breathe that includes Peace Like A River

Best Writing: probably Slouching Toward Gondolin

Best Poem: If you make me choose between Home By Morning and Ascension, I will expire on the spot like rumplestiltskin...

Surprised Myself By Writing: The Tarot Drabbles, and All These Wore Wings

Biggest Thrill: having my stories quoted in other peoples stories

Did you take any writing risks this year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?

It's all risky, It's always worth doing. I learned to write, whether I ever show the piece or not.

Biggest Risks - I said it out loud in public - The Raven and The Blade! People accepted it. Woohoo!
I let a few people find out about/read some stories in my private arc (North's stories).
After 26 years, I wrote erotica for Jim.

Do you have any fanfic or pro-fic goals for the New Year?

To keep going. To be challenged like the Lotr100 and the HASA online challenges revved me up this year.

Story wise, I would *love* to assemble and finish the seen and unseen parts of my arc that deal with Faramir and his Father in a form I can share out here. Even if not all in one story...

I would like to actually write the crazed project that Flick and I have been bashing about with Lee - both for its surreal nature and to see if I am cut out for collaboration.

I want to keep writing stories that make Jim draw me pictures. (see this icon)

Elf
You are an Elf! Analytical and philosophical, you
exemplify the traits of the elves. You tend to
be a bit withdrawn when not around people who
have your own mind set, but you can take the
lead if need be. Generally you aren't too
welcome of people outside your group until you
get to know them.

What would you be in The Lord of the Rings?

Ah, it's a fair cop..... but not *that* elf
quiet down, North, I'll change the pisture as soon as I can....

ok, picture changed to shut up my cranky alter ego...

Fileg in Some Like it Shot
In this non-stop rollercoaster, [info]fileg (Julianne Moore) is a complicated secret agent with a pet squirrel. She has to track down [info]notarysojac (Hugh Jackman) before her archenemy, [info]elladans_witch (Meg Ryan), brainwashes him. After a quick snack, she makes her presence known at a secret submarine base. See it because all of your friends will. This picture tells a thousand words. Most of them are interjections.
