If the weekend had not been so busy, and included going out to the movies both nights, I would have subjected you all to a cranky post about Action Figures. See I have -- a few (stop laughing, Chris, you are not so far behind me)

Ok, I have a LOT of them. And several WETA busts , and the full length Boromir, Elrond and Galadrim Archer, with Elessar on order and... well, I have *stuff*. And I love it.

I have one Faramir action figure that I carry around - he has no colour left on the front of his hair where I rub it with my thumb, and he is constantly missing his arrows. (I just give him Legolas's) He went to Toronto with me when we went up for TT at the Royal Ontario Museum; he went to Boston with me when I met Nessime for the first time, and instead of describing ourselves, I told her I would bring Faramir to the club, and she carried Eomer...

So, not that I am complaining about what we *did get - but how comer there was a new Eomer, and new Theoden, I even have the Haldir -- but no new Faramir. No Faramir in armour, No Beautiful Boromir in armour -no Denethor, though we have Wormtongue -not even a Generic Gondorian soldier.


Not Fair!!! I suspect Blatant Anti-Gondor Prejudice!!! (it's probably squicky mannered movie!Denethor's fault...


Anyway, before I got a chance to complain, I found this article -- and I was at my two favorite suppliers trying to pre-order tonight, but it seems to be too soon, even for my brilliant Canadian connection.

I have just gotten a friend to obtain for me the bakshi LoTR, with the express hope of cajoling the famous "Boromir, are you ok?" desktop from Lee. While I wait for it, I found some hysterical Bakshi icons, posted by yueni

But this is in a class by itself
