Over the 30 something years that Jim and I have lived here, the Canada geese have gone from being a sign of the turning of the year as they flew by, teaching my heart to fly, to year round residents who can be a little pushy if they don't get their way. Or if you happen to hit one in the head with a peanut, but that's another story.
Some still fly south, but many are back again in the evening. This year I think we have a particular flock that just flies around the block. 2 or 3 dozen times. Just when I am trying to sleep.
I need my window open. I just can't sleep if it isn't cold. and the flying vuvuzelas, as we call them, obviously need a new GPS.
