Found Tarot: Three of Swords

three of swords

feeling or causing heartbreak, emotional aching, disappointment, unsettling news, finding no solace

feeling lonely, feeling or being separated, wandering far from home, feeling lost, being spurned or rejected, isolated from those you love, finding no aid in time of need

betrayal, finding your trust misplaced, a broken promise

The 3 of Swords shows sudden pain. Sometimes an actual betrayal, sometimes being in the mindset that makes you suspicious of everything - at that moment, it hardly matters since you feel like you are an open wound.

Your partner in the arms of someone else? You overhear your friends laughing and assume it is at you? Your world is turned upside-down. You're stunned, disbelieving, angry to no purpose and heartbroken.

The Three of Swords can represents the unexpected disappointment - betrayal, abandonment, rejection, separation, a reversal of fortune. These hurts are more painful because if they hit when you least expect them.

But, the Three of Swords can be a valuable warning. It is likely that something is wrong in your life and you are in denial about acknowledging it. This is not the time to take anything for granted. Pay attention to your life and surroundings, and for goodness sake, ask questions instead of making rash leaps of self abasement.

It is also possible that this is a warning that you are about to hurt someone else. The three indicates you may be fooling yourself about how cruel that wounding will be. You may not be able to change the situation, but think about the method and adjust it if possible.

Remember to forgive yourself, and try to forgive others in turn. But maybe you can head off trouble before it arrives.
