I was reading a travelogue today (as I often do) and I happened upon this photo, labeled:

A Traditional Maori Greeting, 1977

Which leads me to an entirely new understanding of the Boys from Numenor. They are just doing their part to participate fully in the New Zealand culture! I think we should all make the effort to return the proper greeting if we should be fortunate enough to get the chance....
