drabble: arda - A Place for Everything

Title: A Place for Everything
Characters: Bilbo,Frodo

All of Arda belongs to The Professor, but I visit as often as I can

Frodo ran his finger over the soft felt in the silverware chest before heading to the drawer for some substitutes from the drawer. He set their places, and Bilbo carried the steaming bowls of soup to the table.

“Uncle,” he laughed, “Why don’t you let me replace those missing spoons? It seems unlikely you’ll ever recover the originals now.”

“Ah, I know that lad,” Bilbo smiled. “The spoons will be together again someday, but it won’t be with me. Still, whenever I see the places where the spoons should be, it reminds me how good it felt to come home."
