Obviously, I am not out of *books*, plural - the house is *full* of books, to the point where we have sometimes joked about building room dividers out of them and skipping the middleman as it were.
No, this condition occurs, usually in bed, when I have come to the end of what I am reading and it's really too late to start something else lest I become unable to put it down, but I'm not really ready to stop reading and sleep.
I pick up and put down a dozen things. Sometime a manga will work (but not if I have more than one unread volume available in the house)
The strange thing is, I often go through long periods where I can't read fiction at all, and just crave non-fiction like a fiend (with certain exceptions... a few specific titles, a couple of genres, of which, I admit, mysteries is one.) Currently, I am craving Mysteries.
So, those of you who read them - do you have any recommendations?
